Welcome to Nepal! Our representative greets you at the airport. Transfer by private vehicle 30 mins to your hotel in the heart of Thamel in Kathmandu. Enjoy bottomless cups of tea and coffee, and complimentary bottle of water in your room (refillable with filtered water at the restaurant). Explore your surroundings and settle in for a good night’s sleep after your travels.
Facilitating daily for 10 years our Nepalese singing bowl masters will guide us through the first of our daily experiential chakra balance processes using singing bowls and voice (our original sound healing instruments), to restore and recalibrate mind, body & spirit. Completing the meditation dissolve any last traces of stress in a group soundbath.
Following this experience you may like to continue to rest back at the hotel, get a massage (Seeing Hands blind therapists with years of experience are under $15 & 3 minutes away), journal, or enjoy a free day to explore the spiritual aspects, temples & cuisine of this ancient birthplace of Buddha, also known as the Heart Chakra of the world. Chat to locals and make some friends.
You’ll be invited back to our singing bowls friends’ studio for our relaxing evening vibrational sound meditation-healings. We’ll finish the evening with dinner at an open air restaurant where you’ll be woo’ed by traditional instruments – lilting stringed sarangi, toe-tapping madal drums, lively bansuri flute & evocative vocals sharing time honoured folk music to fill your heart with joy.
Breakfast & debrief, then 30 minute taxi ride – visit an authentic singing bowl factory where artisans skillfully hand hammer singing bowls at the furnace.
Spend the whole day with the owner/manufacturer/training expert who collaborated to create the very first Hess therapy bowls over 35 years ago, that are now famous around the world. Browse his factory outlet (bowls, gongs, bells, etc make great gifts).
Another 20 minute cab ride to enjoy a delicious meal with our kind host at his local restaurant, then he will share his knowledge with us in an afternoon singing bowl training session. In the evening recline on comfy mattresses for a cosmic gong/soundbath in his incredible studio. Have a great night’s sleep!
After breakfast & sharing, we’ll visit our sound healing friends again in Thamel for a centring chakra balance and recalibrating soundbath to start the day right.
Then immerse in reverence and peace, listening to sounds of flapping prayer flags & clanging bells, calling up the deities at ancient temples. Stand quietly and feel the profound energy of generations of prayers, intentions and devotion that continue to resonate through this sacred ground. Connect with the enduring spirit of a place where faith and blessings have converged for centuries. We’ll share a nourishing lunch & the flavours of Nepal, before continuing our journey.
A sacred day concludes with vibrational sound healing and contentment of a soul aglow
Breakfast & sharing will precede another fresh new wonderful day of learning & sound healing with local Newari historian, researcher, collector & teacher – one of Nepal’s most recognised figures in the field of Himalayan sound healing.
Enveloped in his aura of peace & wise kindness, and surrounded by hundreds of bowls & perhaps the biggest gongs you’ve seen, you’ll immerse in a delightful day & eve of sound healing with an extraordinary mesmerising gongbath to remember. Many high quality instruments are available for sale here – gongs, bowls, bells & handpans. You might even take home a lasting keepsake with a beautiful personal engraving.
With the day’s swirling frequencies, healing vibrations, & resonant experiences still gently echoing within, you’ll drift into a restful night’s sleep.
After breakfast, we’ll join our sound healing friends for our last chakra balance and take in the blessings of powerful intentioned singing bowls for our final day in Kathmandu.
Enjoy a free day to visit historic sites & souvenir shops, Durbar Squares, Bhaktapur, Pashupatinath/Swoyambhu/Boudhanath temples, art museums or indulge in massage.
An optional final vibrational sound healing with our practitioner friends offers a beautiful opportunity to pause and integrate the experiences of the week before our closing sharing circle and farewell dinner, weaving together the insights, healing, connections and blessings gathered along the way.
Breakfast, then airport transfer provided for your scheduled flight. Happy travels and we hope to see you again…
Alternatively, airport transfer to Pokhara for extended Sacred Valley, Silent Mountain…
