Drive to Tikhedhunga and commence the trek to ABC passing the beautiful settlements of Ulleri, Ghorepani, Sinuwa, and Deurali. Trek through ascending and descending trails relishing the changing landscapes and beautiful mountain vistas. Cherish The fabulous views of Mt. Day by Day Itinerary

Welcome to Nepal and our representative greets you at the International Airport. After fulfilling all the formalities, get transferred by a private vehicle to the hotel in Kathmandu. Afterward, a brief meet and discussion with a trek guide, and team. Stay overnight.


Wake up early and get received by a trek guide from your hotel in Kathmandu. Drive to Pokhara by tourist bus which takes about 7-8 hours. Relish the scenery and for short breaks stop at 2 stopovers. Reach Pokhara in the afternoon and get transferred to the hotel in Pokhara. The evening is free to spend on your own. Stay overnight.


The Ghorepani Poon Hill trek begins in the morning with a scenic vehicle drive to Tikhedhunga which takes about 1-2 hours. Start the trek to Ulleri which takes about 2-3 hours. Traverse a suspension bridge and trek to the steep trail. Trek slowly step-by-step on the 3200 stone steps to Ulleri. It is demanding but the climb is worth it with the captivating surrounding scenery. Reach Ulleri and stay overnight in a teahouse.


Begin a trek ascending through the terraced path to Banthanti. Pass through the thick forested trail and cross Nangethanti. Trek for a few hours and reach the beautiful Pun Magar ethnic village of Ghorepani. Stay overnight in a teahouse.


Wake up early to Poon Hill hike to relish the mesmerizing sunrise view over the majestic snow-covered Himalayas. Poon Hill is a vantage point at an elevation of 3,210 m which is the highest point of the trek. Spend some time over here and descend to Ghorepani for breakfast. Then, resume the trek through the forested trail to Tadapani. Stay overnight in a teahouse.


Pass through the narrow trail ascending rural villages to Chhomrong, the gateway to the Annapurna Base Camp. Have lunch and take a short break over here. Continue to trek on a descending trail and walk on stone-paved staircases. Traverse a bridge over Chhomrong Khola and trek for 2 hours to Sinuwa. Stay overnight in a teahouse.


Pass through the densely forested trail surrounded by junipers, birch, etc. Admiring the surrounding scenery ascend on a trail and arrive at Bamboo. Take a short break and continue to trek on a steep trail and reach Dovan for an overnight stay.


Pass through beautiful settlements via a lush green forested trail and cross a beautiful village of Himalaya. Adoring the stunning views of Mt. Machhapuchhre trek through a steep trail and reach Deurali. Stay overnight in a teahouse.


Walk past a semi-arid rough trail and ascend to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC). Relish the stunning view of Mt. Annapurna I. Have lunch here and take a short break. Continue to trek on an easy flat trail and after a few hours arrive at Annapurna Base Camp. Get rewarded with phenomenal views of Mt. Annapurna I, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, etc. Stay overnight in a teahouse.


Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise view over the fabulous Annapurna ranges and surrounding peaks. After breakfast, admiring the scenery retrace the same trail, and arrive at Bamboo for an overnight stay.


Pass through a forested trail and reach the Chhomrong village for lunch. Then trek downhill toward Jhinu, a popular natural hot spring. Spend some time in a hot spring for relaxation after a long day trek. After that take a short walk to Matkyu Danda and return to Pokhara. The evening is free to explore and stay overnight in a hotel.


The trek is over and return to Kathmandu by tourist bus and get transferred to the hotel. Join us for a farewell dinner in the evening. Stay overnight.

Best Season

To experience the best views, Spring (Mar-May) and Autumn (Sep-Nov) are the best seasons for the Annapurna Base Camp trek as the weather is favorable and temperatures are stable in these months. The unstable weather and temperature, slippery trails, and only limited services are experienced during the monsoon and winter seasons. Plan wisely to trek in winter and monsoon seasons.


Altitude Sickness and Preventions

Annapurna Base Camp trek has a maximum elevation gain of 4,130 m. It is common to get altitude sickness above 2500 m and hence there is a chance of getting altitude sickness during the Annapurna Base Camp trek. Acclimatization rest is the best way to prevent altitude sickness. We advise taking an acclimatization rest as scheduled in the itinerary during the trek.

Trek Difficulty and Fitness Level

Annapurna Base Camp is a moderate-graded trek. It is beneficial to have a previous trekking experience. It is slightly easy for experienced trekkers and moderate for beginner trekkers. This trek is physically demanding and requires trekkers to walk long hours daily on rough trails. Trekkers can also find difficulty in the limited availability of services and comfort during the trek.
Fitness level is an important factor in trekking and demands trekkers to be in good health condition. Trekkers must be both physically and mentally fit for the Annapurna Base Camp trek. We advise trekkers to participate in physical exercises (cardiovascular, high-intensity, etc.), and mental exercises (meditation, yoga, etc.) before starting the trek.
